Editorial Layout Design

This is an example of an editorial layout project I completed. The topic of the project is to create an editorial layout and three digital posts for social media platforms.

The objective is to design the editorial layout using typography techniques such as typeface selection, grids, colour theory, consistency, and contrast to demonstrate the correct application of learned typographic techniques.

BRIEF

The general design of the pages is intended to attract the attention of the reader. After capturing the attention of the audience, My plan was to provide them with easy-to-read text. For this, I paid attention to font choice, line breaks, and design.

TYPOGRAPHY

I used Orpheus Pro (Bold) from Adobe fonts; its classification is Decorative, Serif. I used the font for headlines and “Proxima Nova” for the body text. Orpheus Pro and Proxima Nova work well together. I preferred the Sans-Serif font for the body text because it is very readable.

MOBILE MOCKUPS

I designed three posts for different social media platforms based on the editorial layout. I aimed to influence the specific social media target audience with the designs. In this project I wanted to show the target audience how impressive the Editorial layout is with a good design.

WORK PROCESS

The working process of all projects start with sketches. These sketches are the ideas that inspired me with the first spark.

If you as a designer don’t believe in your design and don’t see it beyond the context of the film but as a real creature in a real world then how can you expect the audience to believe it?
